Every connected site on a team with an Agency or Enterprise plan gets that plan's features, including all Pro features, without a separate license. Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, which is the merchant of record and handles tax.
Buying a plan#
Owners open the team page, choose a plan under Billing, and select Continue to checkout. After payment the plan applies within a minute. To change or cancel an Agency plan, use the link in your Dodo Payments receipt.
Trying the hub first#
A team without a subscription can connect up to 3 sites. Those sites use the hub's features and keep their own plan (Free or Pro); they do not get Agency features until the team subscribes.
How sites get their plan#
With every report, the hub gives each site a signed statement of its team's plan, valid for 72 hours. The site checks the signature against the hub keys it trusts and uses the higher of that plan and its own license. Agent Warden → Hub shows the plan and when it must be renewed.
If the hub cannot be reached, a site keeps its plan until the statement expires, then returns to its own plan. Nothing a site enforces depends on the hub.
Pro license keys#
Pro is sold per site through Dodo Payments, which emails a license key after checkout. On the site running Agent Warden Pro, open Agent Warden → Settings → Plan, paste the key, and select Activate.
- The site checks the key with the hub once a day. If the hub cannot be reached, Pro stays on for up to 7 days after the last successful check.
- When the subscription ends or is on hold, the site returns to Free at its next check. Nothing is deleted.
- To move a key to another site, select Remove key from this site first, then activate it on the new site.
- While the key is valid, Agent Warden Pro updates appear under Dashboard → Updates like any other plugin.
A site connected to a team with an Agency or Enterprise plan does not need a Pro key.
Payment problems and cancellation#
- A payment fails: the team keeps its plan for 7 days, and the owners are emailed. Update the payment method from Dodo's email.
- The plan ends: sites return to their own plan when their current statement expires. Connected sites are never removed, but the team cannot connect more than 3 sites until it subscribes again.
- Moving to a smaller plan: sites above the new limit stay connected; new connections wait until the team is within its limit.
